Formed over 20 years ago, Junction 33 Dance Band performs the music of the 1920’s – 1940’s with the unique sound of that golden era. The band follows on from the classic style strongly associated with the British dance bands of the Savoy Hotel, Casani Club and the Astoria Ballroom.
The band plays an eclectic mix of repertoire from original scores by Glenn Miller, through to modern pop and rock hits, played with the same velvety dance band sound and approach.
The players of the band are made up from professional musicians in the South Yorkshire area and have played together in many orchestras, ensembles, duos, trios for many years. Many of them are recognised and highly regarded music teachers as well.
The band is available in various combinations including:
- 12-piece – full band
- 7-piece – mini band
For weddings and special occasions, we can also supply:
- Organist / Trumpet Voluntary
- Highland Bagpiper
- Jazz Trio, for background music etc
